Lots of gypsy jazz lately-- and it's been great. In this genre alone, I've been fortunate to play with the following guys recently: Louis Matthee, Doug Martin, Nick Christie, Jason Vandeford, Clint Baker, Benito Cortez, Joe Kyle, Marty Eggers, Vic Wong, Simon Planting, Alex Anaya, Trevel Beshore, and the guys from Gaucho (Dave Ricketts, Rob Reich, Ari Munkres, Michael Groh, and Pete Devine). Apologies to anyone I've neglected to mention here...
I had the privilege of teaching a few lessons at Stanford Jazz Camp a couple of weeks ago-- a lot of bright, inquisitive, and creative kids coming up.

I've been doing a fair amount of recording over the last year or so, on albums in various stages of completion:
Third Eye Blind, Ursa Major (available on Amazon.com)
Lou-Lou and the Gypsy Jivers (available on CDBaby.com)
George Cole
Jack Murry
The Mattson 2
In other news, the Scott Young/Tom Griesser Sextet is rolling right along-- we had a great show last Saturday evening at Speisekammer in Alameda (2424 Lincoln Ave.). If you want first-rate German food, Speisekammer's the place to go. We're playing Sunday, May 2nd at The Riptide, a cool bar in the Outer Sunset in San Francisco. Details on the "Calendar" page...
